Originaly released in 1976 this is one track of the famous album Cuban Soul of Cassiano. This version maintain the originality but ad more bump drum and brakes to in and out, for DJ's.

Cassiano was a great partner of Tim Maia. Together, they always created problematic situations and confusions, but both were also great composers too. Unlike Tim, Cassiano went for a less pop line. Central Brazil is a funk anthem that, although it was made in Rio, is not a Rio funk.

This version was published exclusively by the Cassette Blog project, Back to the Roots, a collection with remixes and reworks from various dijs and producers around the world. An honor for me to participate in this project.
